Fieldwork Journal

At first, I was nervous and worried about speaking English, so I couldn’t talk much with the staff or children. I often didn’t understand what the children said and didn’t know what to do.

Volunteering was fun but sometimes tiring, especially playing outside. I also learned that I need to look for what to do instead of waiting for instructions. I want to tell other students that talking to people is very important, especially when you don’t understand something.

We went some places every Thursday. In last day, I went to the science center. It is very interesting a light of moving.

I recommend this experience to people who like children. You can enjoy talking and playing with them, and learn useful ways of speaking from the teachers. It’s a good chance to grow by communicating with others.
